At Yorktown Periodontics Dr. Duggan uses the most advanced technology that is available. We use a CBCT machine to take digital panoramic x-rays, and 3D image scans as needed.  Dr. Duggan uses pretreatment dental x-rays to see tartar/calculus, infection, bone levels, and important anatomical structures; all of which help her diagnose and plan your treatment.  X-rays may also be taken during surgical procedures; such as during implant placement. Post-surgical x-rays are sometimes necessary as well; to determine healing and/or bone integration.
